WHEN TO SOW
February to March

WHERE TO SOW
sow seed on the surface of a good free draining, seed compost and lightly cover with a fine sprinkling of vermiculite. Place in a propagator or a warm place at a temperature of 20-25°C (68-77°F) until after germination which usually takes 10-21 days.

WHAT TO DO NEXT
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost has passed 15-30cm (6-12") apart.

Regularly remove dead heads to prolong the summer display.
